Slipstream Special Occasions is a division of Slipstream Production Services and was created to give a more personal service to people holding private events, we aim to bring a bit of theatrical magic to any kind of wedding or private event.

Lesley Howell

Lesley was introduced to the world of entertainment at a young age. Initially she was on stage as a singer and musician before deciding that she had greater interest in the production side of things. This has led her to gain qualifications in Production Management and Technical Theatre from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Lesley has worked as a freelance stage manager on many productions, in places as diverse as The Globe and Wormwood Scrubs. Lesley is passionate about people and performance and bringing a bit of theatre into everyone’s life.

Amanda Youngs

Amanda also started her career treading the boards until the age of 16, when she realised her passion lay in production. She went on to gain a BA in Performing Arts at Suffolk University and then went to LAMDA where she met Lesley. Since then, Amanda has worked as a freelance stage manager on numerous productions, from plays staged on the back of a Luton Van to Holland Park Opera. Amanda also had the daunting task and honour of organising Lesley and Brian’s wedding. As she is now a member of the Slipstream management team she guesses she did a pretty good job!

Brian Cook

Brian began working in the entertainment industry in 1995. Specialising in lighting production and design, his career has ranged from cabaret shows for the British forces in Bosnia and European Concert touring, through to Theatre Productions and Corporate Events. Brian is passionate about creating dramatic experiences that put a smile on your face. As the only male on the management team Brian is proud of his ability to hold his own in the office and is now fully conversant with the art of girlie chat!

Pippa the office dog is a 3yr old Staffie cross Collie and can often be heard in the background shouting at the local cats. She’s a fun and loveable mutt who likes nothing more then checking out the latest venues and the odd day of food tasting. When not working, Pippa spends her time basking in the sun and eating!
